Once you're here in Hua Hin, you'll find that there's plenty to do and quite a number of clubs and associations you can join and meet like minded people to enjoy your spare time with. The main ones are detailed below.
The best known is The Hua Hin Golf Society. Members and guests play every Tuesday and Friday at a number of local courses. There is a membership fee and rules regarding who can join and up-to-date information can be obtained from Bernie's Bar which is located in the Hua Hin Bazaar area.
Another, slightly smaller society is The Butterfly Rock Golf Club. Currently they are limiting membership to 60 players. It can be contacted at the Butterfly Rock Bar on soi 81, matches are on Wednesdays and full rules and regulations on joining can be found on their website or at the bar.

Hash House Harriers
If you enjoy running and socialising, look no further than the Hua Hin Hash House Harriers. There is also a cycling club or two, more details can be found on the Hua Hin Sport website.
Pubs and bars
For those who enjoy more sedate activities over a beer or three, there may be opportunities to join the pool or darts leagues. See our Events and Activities forum for more details.
If you're interested in televised sport and want to watch the major events with others, try O'Neill's Irish Bar, Johnnie Walkers, Billy's Bar or Bernie's Bar. All these locations are also good spots to find Hua Hin residents.
These are just some of the social acivities you can get involved in. You'll find all organisers and participants friendly and eager to welcome new recruits.
There are also plenty of ex-pats in Hua Hin who enjoy playing backgammon, cribbage or chess. Whilst there is no one set place to meet, if you ask around at popular ex-pat bars, you're sure to find opponents.
